It's that time again...time for current events! Yes, we will be doing current events quizzes again this year. You will need to review the major news stories of the week (think political, social, national and international events, environmental, some entertainment, etc.). Take some time to read the news today. Your first quiz is next Friday, September 3. View these helpful hints to prepare:
  • watch the first 10 minutes of the evening news on television. The channel doesn't really matter.
  • read respected news sites online. CNN, NYTimes, and other outlets are acceptable. TMZ is not.
  • Read the New York Times print edition online. Yes, it's the complete paperUse the code 200278513 and log into http://eedition.nytimes.com
  • Stay tuned for information on the SF Chronicle e-edition as well.
A period: You will be reviewing parts of the spread today in preparation for a quiz next week.
2nd period: You will begin your first design assignment, All About Me. View the instructions here.
